Covid Safe Ticket

In collaboration with our location, Tour & Taxis, we’ll try to make your visit to Brussels Design Market as safe as possible. In order to make sure the Brussels Design Market as you know it (pre-covid) can take place, while maintaining its unique atmosphere characterized by flea markets, a COVID SAFE TICKET will be required for visitors. You can receive a valid Covid Safe Ticket when you have :

  • A vaccination certificate
  • A recovery certificate
  • A negative test certificate

Visitors from Belgium can enter the market by presenting their QR-code in the CovidSafeBE app proving that they are either:

  • fully vaccinated since more than 2 weeks
  • tested negative: PCR test which is less than 48 hours old 
  • tested negative: rapid antigen which must have been taken by a doctor or pharmacist and be less than 24 hours old
  • in possession of a recovery certificate. This is a certificate of reinstatement with a validity period starting 10 days after the date of the first positive PCR test and ending 180 days after the date of the first PCR test.
  • No covid safe ticket needed for children under 12 years old

For our international visitors, including the UK and Swiss, we want to emphasize that any European digital covid certificate is valid. For more information read further below or click here. Are you living outside the European Union? Please contact Info-Coronavirus to obtain a valid QR-code. When traveling from abroad remember to fill out your Passenger Locator Form (PLF). This is also compulsory if you’re traveling by car.

ATTENTION: There will be no tests available at the event, you can find a list of testing centers in Brussels here: https://brussels.testcovid.be/en/#why2. Please don’t forget your smartphone or bring a paper version of your covid safe ticket. 

You won’t have to wear a mask inside the fair but you are welcome to wear one if that makes you feel more comfortable.

HOW WILL THE COVID SAFE TICKET BE CHECKED?

  • The Covid Safe Ticket check takes place before the entrance to the venue.
  • The Covid Safe Ticket is a personal document. Our staff will scan the QR code of your Covid Safe Ticket and check your identity. To be able to do so, we request you bring valid physical proof of identity (including biometrical data), like an ID-card, passport or driver’s license. 
  • When your Covid Safe Ticket is scanned at an event, no health data are shared with the organizer or security company.
  • Before and during the Covid Safe Ticket check, you need to wear a surgical face mask. You may only remove your mask once the control point has been fully passed. Please follow the indicated instructions at the entrance. 
  • The Covid Safe Ticket will only be checked when entering the market.

VACCINATION CERTIFICATE

When you are fully vaccinated (Day of second dose + 14 days incubation period or day of first dose of Johnson & Johnson + 14 days incubation period) you need to present your official ID and your vaccination certificate.

Visiting 24.09 —> last dose on 10.09 or earlier

Visiting 25.09 —> last dose on 11.09 or earlier

Visiting 26.09 —> last dose on 12.09 or earlier

You can download your Covid Safe Ticket via the CovidSafeBE app or you can go to www.mijngezondheid.be ou masanté.be to download your vaccination certificate or have it sent via regular mail. To request your certificate online, you’ll need your ID-card, pin code, and card reader. Other activated digital keys (like itsme) will work as well.

Non-Belgian residents must present a European Digital Covid Certificate. For more information click here. Are you living outside the European Union? RECOVERY CERTIFICATE

You need to present your official ID and your recovery certificate with a validity period that starts 10 days after the date of the first positive PCR test and ends 180 days after the date of that first positive test.

NEGATIVE TEST CERTIFICATE

You need to present your official ID and your European Digital Covid Certificate / Covid Safe Ticket indicating the negative result of your PCR test, which is valid for the day of your test + 2 days (until 00h00) (or RAT test done by a pharmacist, valid for day of test + 1 day ending at 00h00). We strongly advise you to plan the test on the day before your visit to the market. Every Belgian is entitled to two free PCR-tests, you can schedule your appointment in a covid test center nearby your place of residence through www.mijngezondheid.be.

In case of PCR test: Please be aware that it might take up to 24 hours before the result is available on the Covidsafe app or www.mijngezondheid.be. Make sure to check with your pharmacist, test center or doctor if the test will result in a European Digital Covid Certificate / Covid Safe Ticket.  

In case of RAT test: Please be aware that it might take up to 2 hours before the result is available on the Covidsafe app or www.mijngezondheid.be. Make sure to check with your pharmacist, test center or doctor if the test will result in a European Digital Covid Certificate / Covid Safe Ticket.

Non-belgian residents who are planning on getting tested in Belgium need to receive at CTPC code in order to receive their European Digital Covid Certificate.

This is how you receive your code: 

  1. Visit www.mijngezondheid.be
  2. Press “Een code voor een betalende PCR test aanvragen (niet-inwoner van België)”. 
  3. Fill out the requested information and press “Aanvragen”. 
  4. Book a test via https://testcovid.doclr.be or https://brussels.testcovid.be for Brussel with the CTPC code you received in your email / sms. 
  5. Take the test (more than 24 hours in advance).
  6. Download the Covidsafe app and click on “Get certificate via CTPC”. This will add the certificate to the app. Be aware that it might take up to 24 hours before the result is available.

ATTENTION:

  • Self-tests are not valid.
  • If the result of your test is positive, do not come to the market.
  • If you do not have a valid Covid Safe Ticket, do not to the market.
  • If you feel bad and you have symptoms of Covid-19, take a test. Positive? Do not come to the market!

RESPONSIBILITY

It’s the purchaser’s sole responsibility to present the correct and legal certification with regard to Covid-19. Please check with your local government how you can procure the European Digital Covid Certificate and its validity with regard to the market.
